I don't like crowds, and don't like queues, but I'd queue for something that was very interesting to me. Possibly not Picasso.

Sorry to hear that you are loosing a yarn supplier.

I adore my little 2 shaft Weavemaster! It's well made and the shafts lift smoothly, but I do agree the shed is very small. I've got a larger (and heavier) Leclerc Voyageur for more complex table loom projects.

That is a rather lovely array of shawl pins you have pictured. Good luck on completing the other projects. I SO know how that feels...

I know of it - if you mean Vavmagasinet and if I am spelling that vaguely correctly... - but I haven't actually laid my grubby little paws on a copy. I'm quite tempted to try it but need to keep an eye on my budget at the moment. Speaking of budgets, a subscription to the Online Guild includes the a subscription to the Journal, so there's value for money! Yes, the OLG is a UK guild, part of the Assocation of Guilds here, and so membership is like membership of a regular guild but with monthly workshops and ongoing discussions taking place through a Yahoo group rather than in a village hall. I've been a member for a few years, but I don't make as much use of it as I would like to: too many things competing for those measly 24 hours in each day. Dot (at fibre2fabric.blogspot.com) is an active member; in fact lots of weaving bloggers are, so you'd be in good company.

OK Cally, for 22 quid I'll give it a go. Do you happen to know anything about the swedish publication that there is? (forget the name right now), and the online guild for weavers dyers and spinners? (I think it's also run out of the UK but not sure)
